Throws vs blankets vs bed-runners
A throw is a smaller, decorative layer (around 130 × 170 cm) for the sofa edge or the foot of the bed; a blanket is larger and made for warmth; a bed-runner is a long, narrow band laid across the foot of a made bed for colour and polish. Materials
Soft wool-blends in undyed natural tones give warmth without weight and a quiet, textural finish that works year-round in air-conditioned rooms. Cotton and cotton-blend throws are lighter and fully washable for everyday use. We state the blend and care on every piece — no 'pure wool' claims unless it genuinely is.
How to style a throw
Drape, don't fold-and-centre. A throw cast loosely over one arm of the sofa, or layered diagonally at the foot of the bed, reads relaxed and intentional. Pick up one colour already in the room — a cushion accent or rug border — so the throw ties the scheme together rather than fighting it.
Care
Wool-blends are best dry-cleaned or gently hand-washed cold and laid flat to dry; cotton throws take a cold machine wash and line dry. Air wool pieces between uses rather than over-washing them.
