The SOISU Studio lending programme for interior designers, architects, photographers, event stylists, and wedding decorators — how it works, what is available, and how to apply.
SOISU Studio is a decor lending programme that allows interior designers, architects, content creators, wedding stylists, and event decorators to borrow SOISU products for professional use — without purchasing. Products available on loan include the full cushion cover range, throws, selected rugs, and bedding pieces. The programme was created because premium soft furnishings used for staging (show flats, residential photography, event styling, editorial shoots) have a one-time-use context — purchasing at full retail is economically disproportionate for a single-use application. Rental is charged per day or per week. The lender collects and returns products after use; SOISU handles washing and quality inspection between rentals. Based in Mumbai; applications from Bengaluru, Delhi, and other cities considered for multi-week rentals.
The SOISU Studio programme is open to: (1) Interior designers and architects using the pieces for show flat or residential project staging; (2) Professional photographers and content creators (brand shoots, editorial, lifestyle, social media content); (3) Wedding planners and event stylists using decor for mehendi, haldi, sangeet, engagement, or reception set design; (4) Home stagers for property resale or short-term rental listing photography; (5) Hospitality consultants specifying soft furnishings for hotel or serviced apartment FF&E trials. Individual homeowners are not eligible for the Studio programme but can purchase all items at standard retail. SOISU Studio rental pricing is based on product category and rental duration. Cushion covers: ₹150–₹300/cover/day; ₹500–₹1,000/cover/week. Throws: ₹300–₹600/throw/day; ₹1,000–₹2,000/throw/week. Rugs (4×6 ft): ₹800–₹1,500/rug/day; ₹2,500–₹5,000/rug/week. Bedding sets (duvet cover + pillows): ₹500–₹1,000/set/day; ₹1,500–₹3,500/set/week. A standard editorial shoot requiring 8 cushion covers, 2 throws, and 1 rug for a 1-day shoot totals approximately ₹4,500–₹8,500 in rental fees — 80–90% less than purchasing the same items at retail. Rental fees do not include a refundable security deposit (equivalent to 50% of retail value), which is returned on safe return of all items.
The SOISU Studio programme is designed as an alternative to the standard interior design workflow of purchasing soft furnishings for staging, photography, or client presentation and then returning them (a practice common with e-commerce but operationally difficult for premium products). Studio rental avoids: (1) The cash-flow burden of purchasing full-retail items for a temporary use; (2) The logistical problem of returns and credit notes on handmade products; (3) The wastage of purchasing items that may not suit the final room. For client projects where the designer is specifying items for the homeowner to purchase, Studio rental allows physical client-side presentation of actual SOISU products before the purchase decision — far more effective than catalogue photography for high-value items like rugs.
